Recipe of Savoy : The tartiflette
The tartiflette is a typical dish of Savoy, and more
particularly in the Aravis' area. It consists of bacon,
potatoes and is crowned of a splendid Reblochon of Savoy,
preferably farm products. The valley of Thônes is famous
for the quality of its reblochons.

Ingredients
|
- 1 Reblochon
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 300 grs of bacon
- 1 onion
- 1 salad
- salt, pepper

Preparation
|
- Dice potatoes and cook them in a pan.
Make them gild with the bacon.
|
- Chop onion and brown it in butter.
When it's quite hot, add diced bacon.
Make the whole gild in a large pan
during 10 minutes.

- Choose a quite soft Reblochon.
Scrape the crust with a knife if you
wish it, but you can it.

- Take the Reblochon and cut it along
the sides
|
- You obtain two beautiful halves that
you lay on potatoes.
|
- Once the potatoes are cooked a little
bit, you can mix them with the bacon.
(it will finish cooking with the oven.)

- Pour potatoes, bacon and onion in a
large dish.
Lay the two halves of Reblochon (crust
above or below according to your
preferences)

- Placez au four et laissez chauffer
thermostat 6 jusqu'à ce que le
reblochon Put in the oven and let heat
(thermostat 6) until the Reblochon is
completely molten.

- Serve with a wine of Savoy and a
salad.
